Replacing a laptop keyboard?
Advice and help is below or select the manufacturer of your laptop to find the correct replacement laptop keyboard:
Replacing a laptop keyboard is usually straightforward, most customers manage to replace their keyboard themselves.
It will help to follow a few simple guidelines:
1. Order the new keyboard before you dismantle your laptop - you'll get a far better idea of how it is fitted when you see the new part.
2. Check the Reviews for fitting help - and please feel free to add a review yourself with instructions once you've finished.
3. Check the fitting hint sheet that normally comes with the keyboard to get an idea of different ways the keyboard may be secured.
4. Remove all parts carefully and make a careful note of the order they were fitted, and especially which screws fit where.
5. The starting point for removing any keyboard is to decide if it is secured from the top or the bottom of the laptop - look underneath the new keyboard to determine which.
Remember - if you choose to do your own repair you are responsible for any damage caused!
